The Alpair 12 is a large full range single cone drive unit (8 - 206mm frame). The primary feature is its extended and detailed range, operating to 20kHz. The driver achieves this performance without using a whizzer or co-axial centre tweeter making this driver a "purists" single cone/cap design. This driver incorporates a new cone multi-forming technology originally developed in Japan. The cones and made using 7 separate forming and trimming processes, all controlled via CNC operation. The accuracy of this technology is superior to conventional spun and press methods.
Tadashi Matsubara San, a most experienced senior driver designer from Japan has produced the rear suspension. It is unique and exclusively made for the Alpair 12. Lui Yi Ping from Taiwan is a specialist in front suspension design. He has produced the 7s suspension as the most advanced of its type so far. Its ultra-thin, and the production process for this component is all new. The same exclusivity is also applied to the frame, coil, connectors, every part for this driver is unique custom designed. The acoustic result is remarkable for a large full range emitter, delivering outstanding clarity, detail and musical realism.

The Alpair 7 is a rare (possibly unique) driver in this size and class. Its primary feature is its extended high range. Operating to 30kHz the Alpair 7 eliminates the need for a tweeter. The driver achieves this performance without using a whizzer or co-axial centre tweeter. The Alpair 7 is a purist single cone/cap design. This driver incorporates a new cone multi-forming technology originally developed in Japan. The cones are made using 7 separate forming and trimming processes, all controlled via CNC operation. The accuracy of this technology is superior to conventional spun and press methods. The unique rear suspension was designed exclusively for the Alpair 7 by experienced Japanese driver designer - Tadashi Matsubara San. Lui Yi Ping, a specialist in front suspension design from Taiwan has produced the 7s ultra-thin suspension. An all new production process for this component makes it the most advanced of its type available. The same attention to detail and exclusive design applies to the frame, coil, connectors. Every part for this driver is custom designed and unique. The acoustic result is remarkable for a driver of this size, delivering outstanding clarity, detail and musical realism.

The CHP-70 is an all new paper cone full-range audio driver from Markaudio. This driver is the first in a new technology line that has a unique low-mass design and cone. The "engineered" approach was applied by its designer, Mark Fenlon who passionately believes in making all critical components to a very tight specification.
The CHP-70 boldly integrates all major components to offer a visually colour co-ordinated driver. System builders now have an excellent opportunity to make interesting designs that break away from the older, more typical design box styling.
A very robust bass for this size of driver. Middle and high-range delivery is accurate and detailed. New technology, excellent performance and modern styling combined at an affordable price. The outcome is "pure music".
